Roastery Production Assistant
Hello!
We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Roastery Assistant.
As a Roastery Assistant, you'll play a crucial part in our production team, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of quality and efficiency in roasting and packaging our coffee. This is a great opportunity to work closely with our roasting team, learn the ins and outs of the roasting process, and contribute directly to the amazing coffee experience our partners love.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment, and there is the potential to develop your coffee knowledge with comparative cuppings and roasting different origins and styles, so plenty of room to grow!
Responsibilities
Support the Roasting Process: Assist in the daily roasting operations, working closely with the head roaster to ensure consistent and high-quality results.
Packing, Labelling & Dispatch: Packing and dispatching roasted coffee efficiently and consistently.
Equipment Operation: Learn to operate and maintain our coffee, packing and roasting equipment, including the IMF 15kg, La Marzocco and Mahlkonig.
Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks to ensure consistency and excellence in every batch of roasted coffee.
Maintain Cleanliness: Follow established cleaning and maintenance procedures for all equipment and work areas.
Stock Management: Assist with stock checks.
Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety protocols.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the team, contributing to continuous improvement in our workflow and coffee quality.

Wages: Negotiable depending on experience (we pay over and above the Living Wage as a baseline)
