Brazil Espresso: Santa Lucia Red Bourbon
When you think of a good Brazilian coffee, you think of a smooth, easy-drinking brew that tastes pretty much like chocolate and nuts. We roast this coffee just between light and medium, to bring out good body, texture and balance, while preserving a little hint of the brightness to keep it interesting.
Brought to Ireland by our pal Lucas over at Viva importers: our current Brazil is from Hélcio Carneiro Pinto’s Santa Lucia farm - a natural Red Bourbon variety lot with the usual chocolate and nut tasting notes we look for, along with some golden syrup in the mix!
This is a terrific all-rounder, and will work with any brewing method, even pourover. If brewing it in a stovetop/moka pot or espresso machine, a tiny bit of brightness should come through to complement the smooth body of the coffee.

Tasting Notes
Medium-bodied, beautifully balanced and sweet, and tasting like milk chocolate, golden syrup & pistachio, with a hint of brightness to balance the brew.
